Prior start working with SAP Focused Run system, there are several configuration steps to ensure all necessary components are in place and configured correctly to support the seamless integration and operation of the SAP Focused Run applications for new managed systems or objects.

We recommend to review SAP Focused Run Expert Portal and focus first on Infrastructure Administration and Infrastructure Preparation & Operation section.

To provide a clear understanding of the infrastructure preparation process, let's break down the nine essential steps that need to be completed. These steps are mandatory prerequisites and are outlined in detail on the SAP Focused Run Infrastructure page.

It is good practice to check if product you want to register in SAP Focused Run system is supported and which prerequisite activities are required, you can check the same over https://support.sap.com/en/alm/sap-focused-run/expert-portal/frun-supported-products.html

See following list distributing initial component to be contacted in case of any error during configuration of each Infrastructure Preparation step:

 

  1. Declare Customer Network (CN) --> SV-FRN-INF-SSI
  2. Install or verify version of existing SAP Host Agents (SHA) --> SV-FRN-INF-SSI / BC-CCM-HAG
  3. Prepare CA APM Introscope Enterprise Manager --> XX-PART-WILY

Each step plays a crucial role in ensuring that the infrastructure is properly configured to support the communication and operation of SAP Focused Run applications.
Additionally, for secure communication, the setup of certificate-based communication is also emphasized.

If you are running a low SAP Focused Run version, we recommend first to upgrade the system to latest available version, check latest version through:

If you recently upgraded your SAP Focused Run system, review Check relevant SAP Notes for FRUN blog to ensure there is no SAP Note missing to be implemented. This will ensure system stability for each application and infrastructure.
