The availability of Low-code/no-code tools on SAP BTP has sparked lot of interest among SAP customers and partners. Most of the SAP customers that I speak to are dealing with changes and are looking for ways to empower their staff to be able to address these changes quickly. Many of them are already evaluating options of using low-code/no-code (LCNC) tools and have started to try out SAP AppGyver.There has been also interest even in universities to leverage no-code tools to build apps to solve real world problems. Few months ago, SAP ran Train-the-Trainer session for 15 SAP University Alliance lecturers at Tamasek Polytechnic to enable their students to leverage no-code tools to rapidly build apps. Thanks to my colleagues Crispian Tan & mohini.verma for leading this initiative.
In my previous blog post, I wrote about how the rise of the Citizen Developers is driving operational efficiency and the role SAP is playing to address that segment of users with LCNC tools like SAP AppGyver and SAP Business Application Studio.

Use Cases
Over the last few months, I/my colleagues have been part of few customer discussions where we have evaluated the use of SAP AppGyver to meet their requirements. I would like to share some of these use cases here to provide some ideas as to how you could leverage SAP AppGyver.
Smart Retail app:
This is an app for the shop person which integrates with
- SAP Cloud for Customer to retrieve customer information
- S/4HANA for Inventory, Order Lookup and Order Creation
- Third party system for Customer Loyalty & Rewards

Inventory App
Inventory App with barcode scanning capabilities for product lookup and stocktake purposes. This can be applicable for utility or retail stores where you require the ability to scan a bar code and pull up product information and update details on the go.

Here are examples for few apps built for this scenario
Service Engineer Travel Recording
This solution is meant for service Engineers who will be travelling multiple locations to serve different customers. This app can help calculate and record the distance travelled, time spent traveling and time spent by the service engineers to serve the customers.
Extending Cloud Solutions
SAP AppGyver can also be used to create web-based apps and embedded within other solutions. In the below example, SAP Cloud for Customer solution has been extended to use an AppGyver screen which manages documents stored in an external repository.

Learning Journey
