Hello All,
Before shutting down the APO System we need to stop X_server first.
In our KT document the following steps they have mentioned that
1. Stop liveCache
2. Give X_server stop at OS level
3. Stop SAP
Here i am not able unable to make sense that what is X_SERVER and what is use of this command.
Can someone give some inputs on this.
Regards,
Krushna Biswal
Hello Krushna,
-> The X Server is the communication server of the database system. More information about x_server could be found in MAXDB library.
You could find the MAXDB library at http://maxdb.sap.com/documentation/
< http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_6/default.htm -> Glossary -> X Server
&
http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_6/default.htm -> Tools -> Utilities -> X Server >
You could stop the x_server on the liveCache server using command:
x_server stop
For SAP liveCache documentation links please see the SAP note 767598.
-> If you have further questions/problems with liveCache/MAXDB please post them to the liveCache/MAXDB forum:
Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina
