PPDS req

Hi Gurus,

I am planning to run my CTP heuristics.

E.g: i am taking DP PIR for 4 weeks of March 2010 from DP and trying to release on Feb,15th to PPDS CTP with planning procedure 1 to plan for March 1st week and after checking my semi finished products if not available need to generate Planned order.

How i can create time buckets and how planning run need to generate?

Can any one help me in config steps needed to the above explaination.

Hi Raj,

1) I assume the purpose of you releasing the PIR from to DP to

R/3 is for forecast consumption. Based on the PIR available,

PPDS plans for its product and in turn to the semi finished product

wherein the PPM will contain the details. The capacity of the production

mill will be contained in the resource which inturn will be attached to

the PPDS PPM which it is used during planning.

2) If you select PPDS heuristics/optimiser as engine for planning, if you maintain

priority/cost in PPM/PDS data for different external machines respectively, then

system will plan accordingly
