Multi level packspec label printing

Experts,

I have defined 6 levels in my packaging specification to facilitate my packaging efforts. For each level, I have created a smartform (label) that I'd like the packspec to print into. I have been told that I can assign the form to the material master on the packaging tab of the packaging material but it seems like this field is greyed out/uneditable for me. Additionally, I've been told that I can assign forms onto the assign element tab of each level of the packspec but this as well has been greyed out/uneditable. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to allow changes on these fields.

If these are not viable options, I'd love to hear from someone on the following:

  • How can I embed a specific label/smart form into a packaging specification?
  • How do I call out the amount of labels needed for a specific quantity in the packspec? Ex: If I have a unit label but need to print 100, how does system know to generate 100 labels rather than 1?
  • How do I specify which printer that the generated label will be printed at?
  • What are my options for triggering the print out? Do they need to be set up as HU's to print?

Thank you in advance for all your help!!
