With this blog, I would like to share the highlights of the 2310 release. It is intended for shippers and solution owners, carriers and data providers as well as sales and presales colleagues who already have a detailed understanding of SAP Business Network for Logistics.

SAP Business Network Global Track and Trace

File name extension automatically added to the file name in ‘Provider API for Oder Events’

This facilitates the exchange of event related documents such as proof of delivery: if the file extension is not provided in the file name for the attachments property in the event object of the ‘Provider API for Order Events (GTT)’, it will be added automatically based on its MIME type.

SAP Business Network Freight Collaboration

Tracking documents are now accepted without LBN ID

The system now accepts a tracking document even if the ‘Predefined Carrier Party’ segment does not have an LBN ID – previously there had been a mandatory check.

Contracting: New filter ‘Transport Means Type’

In the ‘Freight Requests for Quotation’ and ‘Freight Orders for Confirmation’ apps, there is a new filter on ‘Transport Means Type’.

Settlement: Shippers can confirm or reject multiple dispute documents

In the ‘Manage Disputes’ app, shippers can now select up to 10 dispute documents raised based on carrier invoices from the ‘For Review’ worklist and choose 'Confirm and Submit' or 'Reject and Submit'.

Settlement: Shippers and Carriers can add comments related to disputes for internal discussion

In the ‘Manage Disputes’ app, you can now add comments, which can be viewed and edited by other users internally within your organization. A new column ‘Comments’ has been added on the worklist page and the same information is displayed on the header area in the object page.

Comments related to disputes in status ‘submitted’ or ‘resolved’ can only be viewed, but not edited.

SAP Business Network Freight Collaboration and Global Track and Trace: Connectivity and Integration

Sunset of ‘Manage Integration Logs – Integration Message Flow View’ (Version 1.0)

As announced in July 2023, the ‘Manage Integration Logs - Integration Message Flow View’ (Version 1.0) app has been deprecated and will be replaced by the new ‘Manage Integration Logs - Version 2.0’ app on November 11th, 2023. This means that the Manage Integration Logs - Integration Message Flow View (Version 1.0) app tile on SAP Fiori launchpad will no longer be available and that you won't be able to access the old app.

Carriers, data contributors, network owners, network participants, shippers and solution owners who have not already done so, must switch to the Manage Integration Logs- Version 2.0 app before that date.

To start using the new app (as a shipper, solution owner or network owner), ask your system administrator to add the ManageIntegrationLogsDisplayTemplate and ManageIntegrationLogsTemplate roles to your role collection.

If you are a carrier, data contributor or network participant, your role settings are managed by SAP Business Network for Logistics. The app shall be visible in your SAP Fiori launchpad.

And there are more news: while Version 1 is sunsetted, we enhanced Version 2 of the ‘Manage Integration Logs’ app further, now filters are considered when exporting to Microsoft Excel.
