Hi Guys,
Can anyone suggest me the process of value only articles in Retail.
How are they created and managed along the logistics process....
Thanks In advance.

HI,
Under SPRO Log-Gene-> Mat Mast>Basic Settings>Material Types> Define Attributes of ArticleType..
Here create ur article type and flag only Value updating for your site (or use the std WERT)
in MM41 Create using Article Category "22"Group Article
the inventory will be tracked using tcode WMBE

Hi,
For Article type WERT - Value Only article, both Quantity and Value Update are maintained as in No Valuation Area then how will the system Track the Value Inventory. Will it work? Or should i change Value Update alone to By Valuation Area.
Please Clarify me on this. Also do let me know whether all remaining logistics purpose for that Value only article remains same as the other normal articles?

Hi Madan,
Yes in your article type detail view in this case for WERT - Value only article ,value updating by Valuation area should be chosen(valuation area can be your plant/site or company code - if all plants/sites belong to one CC)
Also please note only for the below mentioned article types(Standard) both Qty & Value updating becomes irrelevant(ie,no valuation area is required)
DIEN - Service
CH00 - Contract handling
CONT - Kanban Container
COUP - Coupons
MPO - Material Planning Object
NLAG - Non-stock materials
So any article type defined as tangible item will have either Qty or Value updating(valuation are becomes relevant)
Hope it helps

Hi Madan,
Since WERT a standard article type with item category NORM,things would be taken care automatically and you dont need to any specific settings.
Hope it helps.
