Fighting SPAM!

Currently, if I alert some post as SPAM (especially blog comment with SPAM link inside comment) it may take more then one day to react. And during this period spammer will continue adding SPAM.

My proposal is that if there is an alert with "SPAM" reason - some dedicated moderator/moderators to be informed to take the action immediately! Just to prevent other SPAM messages by blocking the user.

Sample:

All comments of this user have to be deleted and user - blocked!

P.S. After this post - all my SPAM alerts were processed 🙂

Hi, Vadim:

As always, thanks for bringing spammers to our attention. While we do our best to process faster than 24 hours, it sometimes takes longer -- particularly for things that might have been reported over the weekend (or if a particularly sneaky spammer requires us to do a bit more work).

For now, I've processed all of you alerts, and that spammer is now gone.

Kind regards,

--Jerry
