Strategy base Monthly PM along with the factory calendar

Hi Expert,

We have a requirement to do Strategy base Monthly PM along with the factory calendar

  • PM work order plan date should be the first Monday of each month, hence we configure a factory calendar with special rules (mentioning the dates of the first Monday of each month as a Workday ticked)
  • On the strategy we have 1M, 2M, and 3M packages (Strategy unit = MON)

I expect to get orders on 1-Apr, 6-May, and 3-Jun according to the Factory calendar working days but system calculates the 30 working days from the Factory calendar and proposes a planned date in 2026.

Is there any standard way to generate orders according to the custom factory calendar from a Startagy base PM Plam?

Thanks

hello

make your 1M cycle 1 day; 2M 2 days etc. This combined with your factory calendar should do the trick.

another approach (which I prefer) needs a small development in the IPRM0002 customer exit.

regards. Didier

Hi,

If you have setup the Factory Calendar, then you need to chose the Scheduling Indicator - Factory Calendar and check it.

Since you are using Key Date, system is trying to schedule based on 30 days.

I am not sure how you achieved in Factory calendar, but you can use the same in the Maintenance Plan scheduling parameters. Based on the Factory system will schedule it.

Additionally, this business scenario needs to altered, because scheduling cannot happen based on the week day, since this will affect the safety of the equipment, since you may miss the dates which manufacturer recommends.

Hi Terence,

Scheduling Indicator is the Factory Calendar, but the system is still proposing dates in 2026 because the System counts only working days according to the factory calendar, not based on the strategy

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, Thats why i was asking, how you have setup the Factory Calendar. This requirement cannot be handled in standard. You need to enhance the scheduling logic to consider the name of the days. Currently scheduling works based on days only.

In case when you use weekly also, if you align one month, next month will not flow.
