Scheduling Backward scheduling
Planning strategy :- 10
Factory calendar :- 5 working days
Problem :-
As per the factory calendar, Saturday and Sunday's are non working day.
In the production order, during scheduling, if the start day of production lies on the weekends, the system proposes the previous working day, i.e. Friday. The user's expectation is that the system needs to propose the successive working day after the weekends, i.e. Monday.
Please do advise , how could we achieve this result.
Thanks in advance.
Hi there
Backward scheduling means that the order's end date is pre-defined and that the order needs to be completed by then in order to meet the requirement. If scheduling then determines that production needs to start on a non-working day, the date will be moved to the previous working day. Otherwise production will not be able to still meet the requirement. (leaving out reduction strategies, for arguments' sake).

Dear Kumar,
In such cases you can go for capacity leveling in CM21.So that user can able to choose the date as per actual production.
