Deprecation of SuccessFactors Learning Token Server

For this feature "LRN-99952-. Deprecation of SuccessFactors Learning Token Server" can you please clarify the following questions:

 - The OCN integration that we already have integrated with LMS will be impacted with this deprecation? Do we need to integrate them again, now with the platform token server?

 - The access to the trainings of the OCN that we already have integrated will be impacted?

- Is there any support document/videos available for migrating to platform token server?

Hi Andrea, 

The SuccessFactors Learning token server will reach End of Maintenance on November 17, 2023 and will be Deleted on November 20, 2026.

Deprecation Details Migration from the SuccessFactors Learning token server to the platform token server improves API support for customers. The SuccessFactors Learning OAuth token server uses HTTP basic authentication (Client ID and Secret) for token requests compared to the platform token server which supports the more secure SAML Assertion Based token request.

Note: You should discontinue using the SuccessFactors Learning token server and start using the more secure platform token server. In the future, SAP will support an OpenID Connect (OIDC) protocol-based solution using Identity Authentication. When that solution is available, we will provide further guidance.

If you have existing OCN that uses the the old Learning Tokens for access then yes it would be eventually impacted. The authentication would need to be updated with the OAuth 2.0 with your vendor.

For existing trainings already imported they may not be impacted. The training URLs will not change even for imported ones. It's the authentication that's changing and the URL will not have an impact. Also, the courses have vendor's URL and not LMS, so it won't be impacted.
