The First Half 2024 Release delivers many exciting innovations and enhancements within SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. These capabilities are designed to improve the user experience and simplify tasks, while boosting efficiency with the help of AI technology. Here is a quick snapshot of what you can expect to see in this release:
New People Profile Experiences
We are excited to unveil two new people profile experiences – the profile preview and the spotlight view. The profile preview provides a quick snapshot of key areas of the employee profile, including job, manager, location, and contact details. Additionally, the spotlight view allows employees to build and represent their personal brand by showcasing skills and competencies, mentoring and target roles, and other relevant personal and organizational information sourced from across SAP SuccessFactors solutions.
Refreshed Org Chart
We are also introducing a new org chart experience with a refreshed look and feel. Available on desktop and mobile devices, users can explore their organizational structure with streamlined expand and collapse capabilities. In addition, users can quickly navigate to an employee’s profile preview, with an option to open the new spotlight view of the people profile.
Simplified Self-Services
To further simplify the self-service experience, we are introducing additional quick actions for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, including the ability to create and edit positions and view and change job relationships. These quick actions are also available in Joule, our AI copilot, and within the SAP SuccessFactors app for Microsoft Teams. Additionally, a new “My Team Positions” experience, accessible directly from the home page, provides managers with a clear tile-based overview of positions. Managers can directly view, edit, and create positions without the need to navigate between multiple screens. And finally, admins and managers can now access a summary of all pending workflow requests, making it easier to keep track of sent and received approvals.
AI-Assisted Person Insights
We are also excited to share the availability of AI-assisted person insights, a new generative AI feature that gives people managers the employee insights they need by responsibly summarizing complex information from SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. With this release, insights based on an employee’s compensation and job history are available to help managers lead effective and well-informed compensation discussions.
Automatic Processing of New Hires
Customers can now automatically process new hires from SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting and SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding into SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. This capability further reduces the time to hire, such as in cases of mass, seasonal, or high-volume hiring.
New Benefits Enrollment Experience
With this release, we are also introducing a new benefits enrollment experience for insurance, savings, and pension benefit types. Available on both desktop and mobile devices, the guided experience for benefits election makes the process more convenient through improved navigation and increases confidence with side-by-side plan comparisons and embedded instructional text.
