Technical Data is grayed out in Charge plan in CC Tool

Hi Gurus,

While assigning charge to Charge plan the Charge is greyed out for techinical data.Could some one let us know what could be the reason..Assigned a mapping table to the charge.Is it mandatory to have Mapping table as charge plan is not getting available in Product in SOM

Hi Neha,

When the "technical data" pane is disabled, it generally means that your charge component ("Price Plan2e1" in this instance) contains no usage rate. The technical data is basically just an identifier to determine who must be charged for a consumption, so it is meaningful only for usage charges.
Please therefore check that your charge component contains something else than recurring and one-shot rates.

Also, if you confirm that you already have usage rates defined in your charge but the technical data pane is still disabled, then it means that this charge is dependent, in which case it doesn't need to know the technical identifiers directly either.

Don't hesitate to ask for more guidance about this if needed.
