Unit of measure in discount group

Dear Colleagues,

We have set up the discount group in sap giving an item paid quantity and a number of free quantities but there is no reference to the unit of measure allocated to the quantity assigned.

Has anyone ever managed to circumvent this issue?

You could split the free item's quantity in a separate row with zero price.

Thanks, but like that sales users would need to remeber all the free items made available, which defies the scope. Using the discount groups works fine if you only have one sales unit of measure, but if you have multiple sales unit of measures the system does not calculate correctly, by just assuming the quantity field without the unit of measure.

You may ask supplier to give the break up for the FOC items, so that it will be easier for users to segregate them.
