Unable to create 04 inspection lot for production/process order post GR of order.

This message is regarding the creation of 04 inspection lot. I am unable to create inspection lot post Goods Receipt of the production order.

1. I checked the material master settings, 04 inspection type is activated with 'Control insp lot - for each material document item'.
2. The config is also verified if for any 101 movement type is blocked for creation of inspection lot.
3. The system is able to create the early inspection lot but is unable to create inspection lot after GR.

Please let me know if i am missing anything to create an inspection lot for a production order post GR of the order.

I think your setting ("the config is also verified if for any 101 movement type is blocked for creation of inspection lot") prevents creation of a inspection lot at movement type 101.

Please try changing the "control insp. lot" setting to "For each material document" and let us know what happens.

You indicate that its able to do the early inspection lot creation. The way you wrote the question, I'm wondering if you expect both an early lot to be created and then one at goods receipt. If you are, that can't happen.

You have to decide if you want it created at process order release time or on the goods receipt. You can't have both.

This is pretty old functionality so it is more than likely your settings are wrong somewhere or there is a misunderstanding of how it is supposed to work.

Thanks for the reply, Sorry if i have created any confusion with my question.

I do not expect to create both early insp lot and insp lot after GR at once, thats not possible.

I was trying to say that initially when i had set the control insp lot to 'early insp lot'. The system is creating early insp lot for process order.

Separately, when i set the control insp lot to 'For each material document' and perform GR for the process order, there is no insp lot created, and wanted to know the reason on why there is no lot created.

To create an inspection lot with origin 04, you should not specify the material.

1. T-Code - QA01

2. Enter the plant and Inspection lot origin as 04 (Leave the material field blank)

3. In the next screen specify the inspection lot quantity and production order number.

4. Carry out remaining steps.
