is it necessary to maintain the material master record for the material,which has to be used in the third party sales order.

Hi

Yes it is mandatory to maintain the material master record for materials that are used in Third Party Sales Scenario.

Although the physical stock does not come to you, but goes directly from the Vendor to the Customer, all the relevant information are updated against the material master. ie the Moving average price, etc.
