System proposing delivery date after consideration of existing capacity

Hi

In LTP normally we put the reqmt in MD61 , run mrp , check capacity and again change the reqmnt. So this is hit and trial method to arrive into a firm planning period.

But in stead of this, is it possible that I will enter the reqmt and system will propose a date after consideration of existing capacity to get the final product so that I will commit to my customer for a possible delivery date.

Or any other solution?

No, system will propose after running MRP w/o considering the capacity. IF yoyu are looking for that you need to go for APO.
