Strategy 30

Hi experts,

I have an issue regarding Strategy 30.

I wanted to test Strategy 30 using the example in the following link.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/38/1a37df8ccd11d1918c0000e8a5f6e6/content.htm?frameset=/...

I have a FERT made of ROH1 and ROH2.

I have given RLT as 100 days in MRP3 view - MM01 for FERT. In-house production field in MRP2 view is left blank.

For ROH1 and ROH2, RLT is given as 100 days in MRP3 view-MM01. Planned delivery time in MRP2 view is also given as 100 days.

Availability check-MRP3 view is given as 01 for all the three materials.

In OPJJ, for 01-PP checking rule combination, I did not check the “check without RLT’ option.

Sales order is created as per the example. No PIR has been maintained.

After running MRP using MD02, I see that planned order for FERT is created for 30/4/2014 (tomorrow). In the Production order, order finish date is 30/4/2014. MRP is run using basic dates. Purchase requisitions for both the raw materials are created for the same date. It looks like RLT given for both raw materials and FERT have not been taken into account.

Could you please clarify this issue? Thank you very much for your time.

Regards,

Hello

The component planned delivery time is not considered during the creation of a planned order for the finished product, since they are planned independently.

That means, while creating the planned order for the finished product, MRP doesn't know yet if there is enough stock of the components or if a new replenishment proposal must be created, therefore, it simply creates a dependent requirement, which will be considered later, when planning the raw materials.

Thanks for the message. After receiving your message, I did a MRP run using MD03 (Planning mode-3 and Scheduling - basic dates) individually for FERT and both the raw materials but nothing has changed in the plan generated.
