Storage Location_Issue

Hello Experts,

We have a process order 7400041554 for which the storage location is displayed for all the components except 51134352.

Please refer to the attached screenshot.

Can you please let us know the root cause.

Hi,

This can be caused if the issuing storage location for material 51134352 is not maintained.

Please check and revert back.

It seems Issuing storage location is missing from the material master of this component,you can also maintain locationin the BOM item data.

Indeed in the material master of material 51134352, the Prod. stor. location is not maintained (although the Storage loc. for EP is maintained as 1082).

1. Is this causing the issue.

2. The user wants to input the storage location directly at the order level based on the F4 options.

Is that feasible anyhow?

3. The process order is already in TECO status. As a workaround I guess that after revoking the TECO and re-reading master data, if they again release the order the correct storage location will be picked up for the component. Please validate my understanding.

1. yes

2. you can't input the storage location in the order but at the time of confirmation. However, you can correct the master data and re-read it if you can revert back the release.

3. Yes this is correct.

Maintain the Prod. Stor. location  and then do the Read PP master data.
