Basis want to use t-code:stad trace a user activity, i need to konw how to enable a user trace, and how long the trace records reserve in ECC 5.0 system,thank you.

ST05 is for the SQL Trace,
or else
configure the audit for the particular user,
Using SM19 & analyze SM20.
