Serialized part

I have a requirement to procure a material that is serialized in an other plant--MMSL.. the same material is not serialized in ours, Can I still receive it and in future can I transfer it to plants which have a serialization profile on them ?

You apparently can't do that as the profiles need to match.. Moreover the usage shouls always have 03 and cannot be 02.. irrespective you will get an error.. so it is not possible!!

Well I believe the plants should have a similar profile if you were to maintain it in both plants, however I haven't personally tested the movement of a serialized material to a non serialized material. My assumption is that it depends on whether or not you have your usage and control indicators set as obligatory or optional..
