Sales order line item rejected even though MTO Production order has CNF and DLV status (Strategy 82)

Our ECC Production system allows the sales order line item rejection even though the production order has CNF and DLV status, and DLFL status set on the MTO Production order once the line item is rejected.

When I tried to replicate the same in the ECC Dev system, it gave me a standard error: we can not set a deletion flag on a Production order due to its status. 

I want my Production system to behave the same way as the Dev system. 

I am not sure how the Production system allows the Sale order line item Rejection and sets the DLFL status on the Production order.

System:- ECC

Scenario:- MTO

Strategy:-  ZY = 82 (Production Order creates and releases at the time of sales order creation)

Lot size:- EX

First, check if in both cases you are using the same requirements type on the sales order and it has the same assembly type assigned (T459K-MNTGA).

Second, from the error message, you can press the button 'Origin of message' (top right next to the X button) to see where exactly this message is triggered and you can debug to find root cause if needed.

But I found the issue, the system allows DLFL status for CNF and DLV Production orders once the Production order balance is Zero after the Production Order settlement run
