Hi,
We have various retail brands in our company and our SAP solution is a Wholesale based SAP AFS solution. Currently, Our Wholesale business can be reported out of SAP at a brand level, but retail business cannot be reported. We would like to report Retail business (Retail Stores) at brand level. Can you suggest any ideas around this as to how we can achieve brand level reporting in SAP for Retail businesses.
Thanks and Regards,
Satish
Hi Satish
I have worked in one of my projects in this kind of a scenario. We had multiple retail brands which were Business Areas in SAP. We also had did kind of requirement to have a store as well as Brand Level reporting.
We did the following:
1. Created all Stores as Internal Orders and Customers in SAP.
2. The Direct Sale to Stores would flow into COPA through SD Integration
3. All Finance related expenses were booked through Internal Order where Business Area was also assigned.
4. There was a settlement rule created where the Finance related Exp were settled to COPA at Customer , Business Area level.
5. The common expenses like Adversting & Marketing, Discounts and Allowances were apportioned to Brand through COPA Assesement.
6. This enabled us to have both above the line and below the line P&L Balances in COPA.
P.S - If you have a BI Solution implemented, you can also look to bring in the secondary sales made by the stores into COPA through an upload from retail system or building a BI Interface to retail system
Hope this helps
Thanks & Regards
