Result recording and UD for in-process material

Hi experts,

We are having some problem on inspection type 03(semi finished material) which has been assigned to material master.all master data also assigned according to that,

We have 10 operations in routing and for 10th operation quality work center has been attached along with inspection characteristics.

Confirmation has been done in co11 for proceeding operations, after that quality results have been recorded for the 10th operation in QE11.

During Usage decision there is no tab (INSPECTION LOT STOCK) found for quantity posting in QA11. I have to  put the quantity in to the scrap. I am unable to do as there is no such tab appearing. How can we put the qty in scrap from quality. what is the procedure for that. what could be the wrong.

Hi Raj,

Inspection type 03 is not meant for stock posting it is used for only in process inspection, hence you have not got the option to post the stock.

Suggest you to activate inspection type 04 for the same material and once you do create or release the order, or GR done corresponding inspection lot gets created. You can do result recording for this and do stock posting for the lot.

Do we require to create Quality plan in QP01 for 04 inspection type for semi finished material.

Is it required once again results recording for the lots generated during GR for the production order(since inspection assigned is 04).

Or else can we directly put the stocks in scrap through Usage decision.

hi,

03- Not stck relevant inspection type,

u may use 04 and create quality plan and Prost your GRN, lot is there with stck posting tab.

if u want the posting against the same 03 type of lot then sorry it is not possible u need to post the stck through pp confirmation screen only.

Hi Raj,

You are right, you have to maintain inspection plan in QP01 for the 04 inspection type.

And the MICs you call in this inspection plan will copy in inspection lot.

You have to do result recording of the lot and while doing the UD you can move the stock to the required storage location.

for every inspection type you also have to define the task list usage in configuration
