Release strategy should trigger in different systems EHP7 and ECC6

Hi All,

At our client side some are using  ECC 6 and few are on EHP7.We need to define the release strategy in a such a way that both the user can approve the PR in cross system.For example- user A is  using ECC6 and he created PR ,now he need to take approval from his manager and manager is using the system EHP7 in such scenario-

• how does the system understand who is the approver?
• How to maintain the same user in both the system? so that approval process can not be disturb .
• What about the release code ? how to define release code in both system for single release strategy

you have got 2 different SAP systems, this is almost the same like you have a SAP system and I have a SAP system.

If you create a PR in your system and want me to release it, then I have to do this release in your system, not in mine.

My system does not know your purchase requisition, my system has not your release strategy setup.

If you have a person in county A who shall release a requisition for country C because he is a VIP with global responsibility, then he has to have a user in the system of country C and has to release it there.

Since you company is the owner of both systems and your basis team is probably hosting both systems, there might be options like single sign on which makes it easy for the user to switch between systems, and he can approve requisitions in both systems, still the user needs to be setup in that system.

Thank you Jurgen & Bijay,

We are working on email notification only.We will maintain the email id & agent name which need to be consider at the time of release strategy.(Email id will play imp role here).User will get the email notification because of the release strategy & workflow.

After clicking on link for PR approval( in outlook email) user will reach to SAP login page, so doesn't matter for user its EHP7 or ECC6.

I am sure this logic will work.
