how to create measuring point and measuring point counter.
what is the difference between these two.
what is measuring point category,
what is measuring point
what is measuring point object
what is measuring position.
can anyone explain me in an easy for better understanding.
Hi Vinoth,
Measuring Points are used to measure some physical properties like Temperature, Pressure Running hours etc.
The Object on which the physical property is measured is Measuring Point Object (Either Equipment / Functional Location / Re-FX Unit)
It the measuring is simple like temperature, then it is just a measuring point, but when it is contineously increasing like distance travelled, running hours etc, then it is a Measuring Point Counter.
Position is just a description where you are measuing, like if you are measuring the temperature for a AC in a room, you can measure the AC Grill temperature or the temperature at one corner etc..
Measuring Point category you can use based on requirement, normally general is used.
Hope you are clear on this. Also read the SAP help.
