Procedure dependency assigned in characteristic is not executed

Hi expert,

I have assigned an procedure dependency in characteristic CT04 transaction and this procedure will infer a value from Variant table. In Cu50 simulation the procedure is not getting executed where as if I assign the procedure in configuration profile then it is executed. Is this a standard sap behavior that dependency in characteristic level will not work in Cu50? Please suggest

Hi balakrishnan.janakiraman,

did you allocate the procedure to the characteristic that should get valuated?

If so, and if the procedure gets input from other 'source' characteristic to determine the value for the 'target' characteristic, then you shall allocate the procedure to the 'source' char.

that is to say, once the 'source' characterstic will be valuated, it will trigger the procedure to set a value for the 'target' char.

Thanks Flavio.. As you suggested had assigned the dependency in both source and target characteristics. It worked. Thank you very much
