output message not generated in PO

hello all

my scenario is as follows:

1) I created a new condition table for PO, 525 with doc type/Porg/Plant/Vendor

2) I assignedthe table to the PO access sequence, in second position

3) in MN04 I Added an entry for this combination, with communication printer for an existing Message type which has been successfully used already for other combinations (Doc type/Porg/ vendor) so that the settings with fine tuning etc are fine

but when I create a PO with this combination (doc type/Porg/plant/vendor) the message is not generated.

can someone help? what am I missing?output-po1.pngoutput-po2.pngoutput-po3.png

ok browsing around I found someone with this same issue, where output at ploant level was not recognized.

https://answers.sap.com/questions/4920373/plant-in-po-output-condition-not-found.html

apparently, an enhancement is needed in the communication of the structure

the system is ignoring these settings. if I set doc type/Porg/vendor settings combination in MN04, the message is generated. But not in the new combination which includes the plant

Check you have print indicators 1( new) and 2(change) assigned to your present PO message type in SPRO in Fine tuned control of PO message type. For more refer Print indicators in PO print

As you have two different condition keys in two tables as Doc type/Porg/ vendor and doc type/Porg/Plant/Vendor, may be your system preferring 1st message condition record which is why other new message condition record neglected- As you have two message condition records, better delete one and keep another one active else leave system to pick preferred message condition record with standard functionality.

hello

yes, like I wrote this message type already works and the print indicators exist from before.

I also thought that maybe there is a contrast, but normally the system should check according to the position in the tables.

the new position comes first, the system should check if an entry exist for this combination, and it does so the message should be generated

hi Venkat

the printer is actually LOCL.

there are 3 different messages type that should be generated: the other 2 are generated without problems

Hi Alisa Schlossberg-Majer

You need to update that LCOL there..

However,

Please open your PO in ME22N.

From toolbar Go To >> Messages Then Again Go To >> Determination analysis

You may find out here the missing things.

well, I did try it with a regular printer but it did not work either

Hi alisa.schlossberg-majer

Please check if you assigned the output device for the purchasing group you selected in PO.

IMG > Materials Management >> Purchasing >> Messages >> Assign Output Devices to Purchasing Groups

Venkat
