PO Output Printout

Hi Guys,

need some advise.

For example, I have a PO - 2 line items

If I make changes in a PO (ME22N) on ONE line items, the resulting output message printout will only print that single line item and what was the changes.

Configuration had been made in MM->Purchasing->Messages->Output Control->Define Message Schema for Purchase Order->Assign Schema to PO-> Check column "N' (New message determination process)

Is there any other config I missed out?

Thanks

Hi,

When you are creating purchase order with multiple line items and after purchase order release, then your purchase order will be printed or send E-Mail to vendor for all items but you are not sending purchase order with ONE item when your purchase order have multiple line items!

As puchase order created, Print Operation (Indicator 1-New) help you to print/Email of puchase order and if you change puchase order, then Print Operation (Indicator 2-change) help you to print/Email of puchase order. You can find Indicator: Print Operation (1-New) and ( 2-change ) in following path for your puchase order message type

SPRO -> MM -> Purchasing > Message -> Output control -> Message types -> Define message type for Purchase Order -> Fine-Tuned Control: Purchase Order

Have a look into  customizing:

Please read the docu http://help.sap.com/saphelp_40b/helpdata/en/75/ee121f55c811d189900000e8322d00/content.htm

then check your customizing

SPRO -> MM -> Purchasing > Message -> Output control -> Message types -> Define message type for Purchase Order -> Fine-Tuned Control: Purchase Order

Hi,

This is as per standard SAP that only the changes are printed out in the changed output.

So your supplier will have clear understanding that only one item is changed and what had been changed.

And it is understood that, nothing is changed in item 2 and hence not printed.

Hi Yelamuri,

I honestly don't think that's true.

Like I mentioned earlier, the config I made should allow the display of ALL line items, not just the ones that were changed.

Thanks

Hi Yelamuri,

I have found the answer.

In ME22N -> Messages

there's a column on the right side labelled as 'C'.

If checked, it will only print changed item in output.

Do you have any idea how to uncheck it?

Thanks

Hi,

You can not uncheck the change column, whenever PO is changed...system automatically identifies the output with this indicator.

In general, if you want to print the entire PO after changes.....we need to go for Repeat Output option with an output which is not having this change indicator.

The configuration you had mentioned is to only identify the output condition type for a changed PO.

It could be same as the initial condition type or can be a different one.

Hi Yelamuri,

Actually there is a way to remove the check on the Change Message Flag.

Found the answer in another thread.

The config is here

MM->Purchasing->Messages->Fields Relevant to Printout for Changes.

Uncheck all boxes under Column "P"

Dear Lin Han You,

By removing the column P under Fields relevant to printout of changes, you are actually telling the system that changing that particular field (for eg: Quantity of item EKPO-MENGE) in PO item, system should not print the purchase order. It means, when ever quantity is changed in an item, an output condition record is triggered for 'change' but it will not be successful since the quantity change is not relevant now for output.
