Hi All,

I have an issue. we have created a sales order for a material which MRP type in material master is VB-Manual reorder point planning. When we are checking it in MD04 its not reflecting the same in MD04. when we are changing the MRP type to Pd its coming in MD04

Please state the difference between VB and PD and why its not reflecting in MD04 in case of VB, though its going for availabilty check material is in our stock.

Thanks

Dear,

Materials planning (MD01, MD02, MD03 and so on): Reservations and other future requirements (for example, sales orders) are not included in the planning run for materials planned by reorder point planning (MRP type VB or VM).

Planning is carried out based on consumption: if the stock level falls below the reorder point after a goods issue, the material is flagged for planning. Sales orders are not taken into consideration in the planning file entry nor for materials planning.

Solution,

You should use one of the MRP processes (for example, MRP type 'PD') or MRP types are 'V1' and 'V2'.

You can make settings in OMDQ so that the system takes 'external' requirements (sales orders and manual reservations) into account in Customizing for MRP. Therefore, in reorder point procedures, you can set the system to consider sales orders

For more details refer the OSS Note 37697.
