Material Master Field for Material Category

Hi Experts,

Are there any field esides Material Group and Material Type that can be used for Material Category? I saw MARA-ATTYP, but it is only being displayed in Retail Materials. Is there a way to show it in MM01/02/03 or any other field to do this?

Our Requirement is to create another Category for certain Materials for our Customer Report - Sales By Material.

Hi,

There is a field "Product hierarchy" in Basic data 1.This can be used.

"The product hierarchy on the Basic Data screen is used to depict the competitive materials of competitor 1 in relation to those of competitor 2. Here, your own company and its materials are also regarded as a competitor and as competitive materials respectively. You can use this representation as a basis for market analyses."

it has got 3levels having 5chars reserve for each of the 1st and 2nd level and 8chars for 3rd level.total chars is 18.

Thanks @bijay, we'll try this field. We only use this field in only 1 customer report, are there any reports that can also be affected by this maintenance?

No this will not affect.this field will provide you information about the Products sub categories.This field is only used for report analysis purpose.
