LTP - CM38

Hi Gurus,

I have created a planning Scenario - 999, for plant 1000.

In OPU5, i have entered the scenario.

Created a reqirement in MD61 with version 01(in active).

In MS32, in the Planned Independent requirement tab,I have entered "01" in the versionfield & "00" in the target version field. (IAM NOT SURE WEATHER IAM RIGHT HERE, PL. CORRECT ME IF IAM WRONG).

Created planning file entries.

executed MS02

checked MS04.

I could not see any required capacity in CM38

Am i failing somewhere? pl. help.

Dear Kumaran,

1.A plannig scenario has to be created for a plant in T code MS31 & for the same Planning scenario

configuration settings has to be made in OPU5 for the planned orders for LTP.

2.Requirements has to be given in MD61 in an inactive version and also after giving the requirements

kindly remove the tick mark against version- active check box.

3.Assign this plan to the planning scenario in MS32,release it and ensure the planning file entries are

entered or created,the same can be checked using MS21.

4.After taking LTP simulation run in MS02(individual material) or MS01 you can see the simulated

planned orders obtained in MS04 T code.

5.These Simulated planned orders can't be converted into production orders or it cant be used for any

business confirmation purpose.

6. For capacity planning analysis,use T Code CM38,

Before that Ensure for all the work centers in CR03 which are used for operation under capacity header

you have included the check box for Long term planning,otherwise in CM38 you can't see any capacity

requirements data.

7.Before executing CM38,ensure under settings---> general you are giving the period settings properly.

Revert back incase of any more clarifications required.

Everything is working fine.

Before closing his thread, pl. let me know , in MS32, after releasing, i could see one tab by name "Activate Independent Requirements". What is the purpose of this tab?

Dear Kumaran,

This only a guess,since I have not used that option so far,When you want to activate that inactive

version requirements you can mention the source version (in active version) and the target version say

00 (To active version) .again there's test mode to check the execution and a create List mode.

Also check T Code MS64, to copy the requirements data from one version to another version.

So is your previous issue solved?

Revert back still if you have any queries.

Mangal,

I have closed the thread.

I activated one of the version through that tab & executed MRP(MD02). I could see all the requrements were got transfered here.
