Intrastat Intracompany Returns

Hello Everyone,

I was looking in the Community for a solution today for Intracompany Returns.
Basically the scenario is the following - we return goods from one affiliate plant to another logistics plant located in two different countries within the same company code. We use a return stock transport order.
At the end of the process in the Intrastat report we can see the order in the dispatch section in one of the plants, but don't see the receipt in the receiving plant. (we use movement types 161 and 671 within the process). 
As of what I have read by far, the only recent note I found is 2446786. All the other ones are quite older. We use S4 Hana Version 1709.
However, according this note we should change our process and use regular STO types and not a return.
My question is if someone has found any option to add the STO to the receipt of the receiving plant, or there is no other way than to change the process as suggested in 2446786?

Did you check the process explained in the note # 3346858 - INTRASTAT: MEIS must report outbound deliveries in Advanced Returns  with advance return process.
