How to make Storage bin in WM module zero.

Dear Sirs,

I want to know how to make WM storage bins zero stock(no negative stock) in order to delete the storage bin from the system. I have done posting change notice etc and in the storage bin both positive and negative stocks are there.

But if we add both + and - stocks though it will show zero,but system is not allow ing to delete the storage bin.

Hi Mrinmoy

You may need to review the WM stock position and correct each bin manually before you can delete

First look at the storage bin and identify all of the 'stock quant' records including those with minus figures.

Take the first material and look at transaction LS26. This will show you where the stock is in all storage types of the warehouse. You will need to determine which storage type matches your error and then resolve it by posting a manual housekeeping move (LT01 999)

Example

Stock in bin = -100

Stock in 902 storage type = +100 against a purchase order

When you analyses the stock and postings you find that the GR has been reversed and the stock has been transferred from the wrong quant in WM

To correct - move the stock from 902 to the stock in your bin with negative stock, this should clear the quant.

All stock values must match (material, batch, special stock etc)

Repeat the process for all lines
