HANDLING UNIT: SPLIT PALLETS BY WEIGHT IN AUTOPACKING (VL02N)

Dear Experts,

I have a delivery with 4 positions. In total the goods weigh 820 KG and I want to put a maximum weight per pallet of 400 KG. The system should create 3 pallets but currently it only creates one based on the packing instruction that I created. How do I use the standard to create 3 pallets based on weight?

Here some screens:

thank you in advance for the help

Hi Nick,

try to use BADI CL_EX_BADI_HU_AUTOPACK

In METHOD_PROPOSAL you can maintain HU generated by system like you prefer.

Go ITALY!!!

I've got it working by weight using automatic packing (using Alternative Unit of Measure settings and Refernce Materials target), but it always leaves the left over partial weight unpacked. So I get the packing split using a maximum, but then still have some without packing, so I need it all in packs.

Thanks for the reply though! Good to know how others are resolving these things.

Hi Nicola, did you resolve this? I am facing the same issue and trying to solve it with standard SAP not BADI, if possible.

Hello Sarah,

we used the solution that Michele proposed. Standard SAP does not cover a weight-based solution for example.

If u want to do your own logic that is the solution.

Thanks,

Nicola
