Engineering BOM is not exploding while running the MRP. I maintained the BOM usage 6

Hi all,

While running the MRP for BOM (BOM usage 6 Engineering/design) BOM is not exploding and I get an error msg when I run the Cost estimate BOM 00000076 /alt. 1 /usage 6 has no items relevant to costing.

Kindly suggest solution for this.

HI,

To give you an idea of this standard behavior, 

For each BOM usages, you can define default values for BOM item statuses in configuration, such as costing relevancy and production relevancy.

which will get defaulted/copied when you create the BOM.

you can change this defaults (production relevancy, costing relevancy) at the BOM component level (CS02) if required, or select appropriate BOM usage when creating BOM.

Hi only production bom will be used for MRP run and the costing. Can you convert your engineering BOm to the Production bom and then try.
