Creating a new field Characteristics for a Sales Order

The business would like a field created in VA01 with a drop selection to designate how the order came in. The selection would be Email, Phone, Fax or Mail.

I thought that a new field characteristics could be used.

Any other suggestions?

Already, there is a standard field BSARK in sale order (Purchase Order Type) both at header level and item level which you can make use of it. If the existing available options are not meeting your requirement, you can create on your own in OVSB.

Thanks G. I did find this right after I posted the question. I can't believe I didn't see it earlier.

But is great to have the experts when I need them.
