Hi SAP Gurus,
I'm new to WM HU module and I need some help about partial pallets process in WM HU.
1. First of all, how does SAP recognize a partial pallet ?
Is it based on quant information ? Wich means : when a quant is in a quantity smaller than a standard HU (a Stock Unit), than it is considered as a partial pallet.
> If it's right, wich master data does SAP takes into consideraton in order to compare with quantity of the quant ? Is it the data assigned in view Warehouse Mngt 2 (palletization data) ? Or is the the data assigned in Warehouse mngt 1 (base unit of measure or WM unit) ?
2. What about Partial Quantities First strategy ?
Imagine we use two packaging levels : pallet and pack (1 palett = 44 packs for example) for material A.
If the quatity required is equal to 1 palette (44 packs), SAP removes a full pallet from stock.
Now, if the required quantity is smaller than a complete pallet (say 36 packs), how does SAP behave ?
Regards.
As per your staorage type configuration if your pallet qty is partial then system will creation destination handling unit while creation of TO and transfer partial qty from source HU to destination HU (For e.g if your HU has 44 packs and your delivery has only 24 qty in this case system will generate destination HU to transfer 24 qty)
If you are picking complete qty then you can pick complete HU.If the HU takeover not configured for your storage type then to split the HU partial quantities you need to move the HU to storage type RP1 and bin REPACK to split the qty.Hope this helps.
