Can Fast entry of Master data (PA70) be used for IT0001(Org assignment) infotype?

Hi,

We need to change the employee group/subgroup and subarea for a large group of employees. I am trying to evaluate PA70 (Fast entry of master Data) tool. Can we use PA70 for editing Org assignment infotype? There is no standard configuration for IT0001, like it is for IT0014 and IT0015.

If yes, can someone help me with the steps?

Not sure Fast entry will work for you since all those values typically come from the employees position on the OM side so you may want to think about writing a BDC session instead utilizing transaction code PP01.

Hi Jaya,

Fast entry doesn't allow to update IT0001, you could use LSMW or BDC to update the infotype. As a best practice you should update IT0000 along with IT0001, its always good practice sync begin date in both infotypes.
