By-Product after splitting order?

Hey Everyone,

I managed to split an order by using the LOG_PP_PROD_ORD_SPLIT enhancement and entering the by-product. Now I can see this by-product added to the Components List in both orders. Once with negative value (parent order) and once with positive value (child order).

In the parent order it is allocated to the splitted operation 0020, but in the child order also. So this means that I will have to confirm the parent order for operation 0020 again just to be able to continue with the child order? Otherwise there is no stock of this by-product when confirming later.

So what are my options?

* Disable Availability Check of the by-product?

* Do I have to add the by-product in the BoM already?

* ...

Hi Guy

It's not necessary or adviseable to add this by-product on the BOM, as it will only be used when an order is splitted.

Also, you may define availability check KP for the by-product, in order to proceed with the order execution.

By using the KP-check, isn't it still necessary to do a confirmation so I can take the by-product in stock?

Or is it not necessary to do these movements?
