Budget Control in PM

Hi friends,

Is there any maintenance budgeting function in PM. Management wants to see how much of maintenance budget is spend at any time to control cash flow. During research I find u201CMaintenance Cost Budgeting (MCB)u201D in SAP but I have never used it before. Can you give me some advice about how to use MCB or any other scenario about budget control in PM.

Hi,

Either you can control budget cost center wise or Internal Order wise apart from other methods.

Your different dept could be the cost center of yours. Allocate budget to them and when you consume against cost center, report can be generated. Another is thru' internal order. You create one internal order and assign in you maint order. Against Int order you allocate budget at Ko22. And also create settlement rule with ORD, int ord as recver. So, when you try to settle & budget exceeds, it will give you warning.

Search more in this forum and also contact your FICO consultant for more details. Actually its their job to create budget.
