Hello gurus,
when configuring ATP and activating ATP check for delivery item catorgory there are 3 options :Blank, X and Y, what is the difference between X and Y?
X: Do not check availability
Y: Do not check avail. when reporting results of pick.request
Thanks in advance.

Rianka
What David mentioned is correct. Per OSS Note 114501 - WM: Deactivating the availability check (info), the AC is mentioned as below;
In the delivery item category, you make the following selections for the field 'AvChck off':
' ' Check availability
The availability is checked both in the delivery and
during the confirmation of the transfer order.
'X' do not check availability
The availability is checked neither in delivery nor
during the confirmation of the transfer order.
'Y' do not check availability for picking confirmation
The availability is only checked in the delivery, not
during the confirmation of the transfer order.
Note that for the selection of batches, you must follow the same procedure in every case. Batches can be determined either only in the delivery or only determined by WM. A combination of these two methods is not sensible.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for the answer.
As you said:
'Y' do not check availability for picking confirmation,The availability is only checked in the delivery, not during the confirmation of the transfer order.
So does that mean:
When we goto VL01N, ATP check will be done, and while doing the Picking, the check wont be done.
Also Transfer Order mean Picking or is it a complete different transaction.
Kindly explain with little more detail.
Many thanks,
Rianka.
Also Transfer Order mean Picking or is it a complete different transaction.
When a warehouse management is involved then picking process involves transfer order. Using transfer orders, the quantity can be picked at bin level. If warehouse management is not involved, then picking does not need transfer order creation process.
