AFBN in S/4 Hana 1709

Hi All

Is there any alternative of AFBN in S/4 Hana 1709? As per SAP Note-2403248 there is new program RAFAB_COPY_AREA but its available as of S/4 Hana 1809. Our issue is that we are not able to close fiscal year with Tcode-AJAB & getting error 'Company code contains fixed assets with calculations with errors'. No asset is shown in error. If we try to run AFAR we are getting error '

Planned value 07205 is missing for parallel area 81 Period 001 in fiscal year

The interesting thing is all these assets shown in AFAR are deactivated/retired. Before migration we created a parallel depreciation area 81 as it was mandatory. However it seems the depreciation area 81 only got activated for active assets which makes sense. Not sure why the issue is showing for retired/deactivated assets.
