Add Shipping instruction field on developed custom report

Hi Team,

We had developed a custom report in sap public cloud using custom CDS view with Datasource I_DeliveryDocument.Now user came up to add Shipping instructions item level field which we maintain in Manage Outbound Delivery App. Could you please suggest is it possible to add the Shipping instructions field in the developed custom CDS view Report.

We had explored the data sources in view browser such as :I_Shippinginstructiontext & I_Shippinginstruction but they are not in released State.

Please suggest us how to proceed further

Hello Samadhan,

I'm afraid there's a misunderstanding: I_ShippingInstruction and its associated text view refer to Shipping Instructions on Purchase Order Item level, as in DB table T027A. Your screenshot shows the list of text types available for an outbound delivery, and among these, there's one text type called "Shipping Instructions" which has nothing to do on a technical level with said I-view, so even having this view released wouldn't help with the attempt to read the texts of type "Shipping Instructions" for an outbound delivery.

In addition, it's not possible to read such texts via CDS view. To the best of my knowledge, you can only retrieve these texts with the help of OData APIs like API_OUTBOUND_DELIVERY_SRV_0002 with a GET request.
