Are you excited about the new releases and updates of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition? And do you want to understand which new extensibility capabilities you‘re getting right away? Do you want to know which new extensibility objects you can use to build your custom apps or extensions?

If you do, there's a URL you should bookmark and check out:

https://help.sap.com/S4_CE_CHANGES_EXT_OBJ

Starting with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2402.1., this is your central entry point for an overview of changes in extensibility objects in the current release/update. In this What's New document, you'll find a central table that informs you about changed, deleted, deprecated, or new extensibility objects, such as business object interfaces, CDS views, or remote APIs. With different filter options, you can drill down to the objects and changes you're interested in.

All three extensibility options in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition are covered:

  • Developer extensibility
  • Key user extensibility
  • Side-by-side extensibility

In previous releases, changes to extensibility objects were announced in individual What's New documents under different categories, such as API, CDS View, or Extensibility. Now, they’re available to you in this overview table in one single What’s New document.

For a brief overview of what you'll find in the central table, watch the following video:

Changes to the following main object types relevant for extensibility are listed:

  • Authorization objects
  • BAdIs
  • Business object interfaces
  • Business events
  • CDS views
  • Classes
  • Data elements
  • Interfaces
  • OData V2 APIs
  • OData V4 APIs
  • SOAP APIs

We hope that this overview enables you to quickly explore new extensibility scenarios in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition - based on your individual business requirements.
