SAP Activate provides a clear guided methodology to deploy, adopt and extend new capabilities across your organization. The SAP Activate implementation Roadmap Viewer is a tool used by the implementation project team members to navigate the phases, deliverables, tasks and accelerators related to the SAP Activate.
The implementation roadmap is updated approximately every two weeks to contain the latest guidance, processes and accelerators.

April 22 Release Notes
- Updated task Create Test Process with Test Automation Tool by adding a new procedure note and a new accelerator, Test Automation Tool guide.
- Added deliverable Organizational Change Management Overview in the Discover phase to include the following tasks:
- Understand the Fundamentals of Organizational Change Management
- Provide Information on Organizational Change Management to Project Stakeholders
- Comprehend the Approach to Organizational Change Management
- Updated the accelerator SAP S/4HANA Cloud 3-system landscape Starter System Provisioning Process & User Onboarding in task Request Bundled Provisioning of SAP S/4HANA Cloud to reflect the new process to request bundled provisioning.
April 8 Release Notes
- SAP For Me has introduced the ability to provisioning multiple tenants/systems with one single request. For S/4HANA Customers, Partner with a Test, development and demo system, a bundled provisioning is provided combining SAP S/4HANA Cloud Starter System, SAP Central Business Configuration and SAP Cloud ALM (when applicable). The following changes were made:
- Created a new task Request Bundled Provisioning of SAP S/4HANA Cloud in the Prepare phase under Request Initial System Access.
- Removed tasks Request SAP Cloud ALM, Request SAP Central Business Configuration Tenant and Request SAP S/4HANA Cloud Starter System as these tasks are replaced with this new process highlighted above.
- Moved all existing procedure notes and accelerators in the new task.
- Added deliverable Organizational Change Management Overview in Discover phase and it includes the following tasks:
- Understand the Fundamentals of Organizational Change Management
- Provide Information on Organizational Change Management to Project Stakeholders
- Comprehend the Approach to Organizational Change Management
- Updated the name of the task Attend the Onboarding Welcome and Introduction Workshop (old name) to Join Embedded Launch Activities in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition Onboarding.
- Updated the procedure of the task Join Embedded Launch Activities in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition Onboarding to include the new accelerators Continuous Quality Check & Improvement Services and Continuous Quality Check Transformation Assessment.
- Introduced a new task, Create Test Process with Test Automation Tool, to guide users in Creating Test Processes. Added new Accelerator Help - SAP Cloud ALM Test Plans.
- Updated the task Create Test Plan. Added Procedure and Procedure notes on creating test cases in SAP Cloud ALM.
- Removed Task Defining Test Cases/Test Scripts for SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
- Updated the task Set Up and Integrate the Automation Tool. Added Procedure notes on enabling two factor authentication.
- Combined tasks related to the set up for SAP Central Business Configuration for each tenant into one task. Set Up Starter Customizing and Development Tenant in SAP Central Business Configuration.
- Improved procedure steps in task Initial System Access for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Starter System by including a procedure step section for each tenant: Starter Customizing and Development tenant.
- Updated the procedure to the task Review Overview Documentation for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.
March 25 Release Notes
- Updated the procedure in task Self-Enable on SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit. Added embedded links in the description.
- Updated task Create Cutover Plan and Documentation to include a reference in procedure step 3 that the maintenance schedule should be considered when planning the cutover.
- Updated a procedure step in task Execute Data Migration in the Test Tenant of SAP S/4HANA Cloud to highlight that uptime and downtime restrictions exist related to Hotfix Collection Deployment. Added accelerator Software Lifecycle Management.
- Updated task Review and Process Hotfix Collection with an additional reference to new accelerator Software Lifecycle Management and highlighted the limitation of transport, etc before and during the SAP pre-processing window before the start of downtime in existing step 3. Also referenced the new accelerator Hotfix Collection Deployment Restrictions.pdf in the procedure steps.
- Updated task Self-Enable on SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit to include accelerator Hotfix Collection Deployment Restrictions.pdf. Always be aware of uptime and downtime restrictions around the Hotfix Collection Deployment. Added accelerator Hotfix Collection Deployment Restrictions.pdf to task Create Cutover Plan and Documentation.
- Added new task Set Up SAP Start and SAP Mobile Start to deliverable Initial System Access for SAP Business Technology Platform.
- Updated the following SAP Business Transformation Platform related tasks:
- Updated task Access SAP Central Business Configuration
- Made small edits to procedure step 1 and 2.
- Removed the first two bullet points in the summary section as the steps have been automated. They're still being referenced in the Help Portal and marked as automated.
March 11 Release Notes
- Updated the user interface in the roadmap viewer with the current sap theme/colors.
- Updated task Evaluate and Activate Feature from Continuous Delivery with the updated name of the App used from Activate New Feature to Activate Features. The help portal accelerator referenced in the task is also updated with the same name change. A new Procedure Note was added to show the two navigation options for the app from both the Implementation Activity app in S/4HANA and via Configuration Activities tab in SAP Central Business Configuration.
- Made the following changes to task Attend the Onboarding Welcome and Introduction Workshops:
- Removed the prerequisite.
- Updated the procedure to include the SAP Business Technology Platform Onboarding Resource Center for guidance on the SAP Business Technology Platform.
- Removed the task Engage with the SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP Build Team and moved the content to task Attend the Onboarding Welcome and Introduction Workshop.

2402 Release Notes
- Updated the product name to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. Changed all text and accelerator titles accordingly. Contents of the accelerators will be updated with the new name in future sprints and as content is reviewed.
- Consolidated task Review Scope Items and Requirements for Embedded Analytics into task Review My Fiori Apps Reference Library for Embedded Analytics and eliminated.
- Added reference of scope item 5KF in procedure step in task Finance - Conduct Workshop.
- Updated task Document Requirement to highlight that some scope items can only be activated during initial scoping.
- Updated all accelerators (documents and links) that are specific to the 2402 release.
