The Sales organization was not re- determined when the owner of the lead was changed

Hii all,

Could I get your input on this case. Sales Org in Lead does not seem to be redetermined any more. Previously it would changed based on the owner as normal, but it suddenly stopped redetermining.

Lead was created with x Owner: Customer changed the owner to y, so the Sales organization changed from x sales organization 42416 GEA Westfalia Separator Group GmbHT

Then y changed the owner back to  x she was not the correct owner for this lead, however this time the Sales. organization was not re-determined back to x sales org but remained as y sales org which is not correct behavior.can you please tell is there any scoping questions for this issue are some things else is there.
