Firebase legacy Cloud Messaging API will be discontinued

We received email from Firebase that Cloud Messaging API that SAP Marketing is using for sending push notifications will be discontinued on June 20, 2024.

Will there be an emergency patch from SAP or we should start looking into building our own replacement?

Hello Maris,

Are you using SAP Marketing 2020 release?

We are currently finalizing the adoption of the new Firebase API and are planning to release a note for SAP Marketing 2020 release in Q1 2024. We will not deploy a note for previous releases since they are out of maintenance.

If you are using SAP Marketing Cloud, we are planning to adopt the new Firebase API in the 2402 release, planned to be deployed in February 2024.
