Hi,
We have noticed an abnormal amount of clicks in our emails. For example, we have a row of social icons near the footer and we are seeing that almost all recipients of a campaign have clicked them. It's not just limited to our social links in the email. I've seen articles that say that email security bots click to validate them. Has anyone else noticed this happening? Is there anyway to filter these in Marketing Cloud? I've seen info on other email marketing products that will delay tracking to compensate for these initial clicks from the email security bots. Is there a way to delay the tracking in Marketing Cloud?
Thanks!
Hi Matt and Daniel,
Indeed, BOT clicks are most likely the culprit.
We are currently working on a solution and it is on our roadmap for 2402 to close the influence request Exclude bot/machine generated click through and mail openings.
Unfortunately, there are no real workaround to avoid it until we deliver the feature.

Hi Matt,
I haven't found a solid reason yet, but I also think it has something to do with a bot evaluation. I had the same issue when client campaign was started, the social media links in particular were clicked more than a thousand times within a few seconds.
@SAP: Is there something we can consider to avoid this?
