Create anonymous contact Lead - Integration with SAP Marketing Cloud

Hello experts,

I'm setting up the SAP Marketing Cloud - SAP Sales Cloud integration regarding Lead Transfer. The issue is the following:

I have a Lead in SMC. Then, I transfer the lead to Sales. In import monitor I can see the message that contains the lead interaction --> there is no ID/Origin ID.

If i check my Lead I also can see the lead document in the Contact:

This works apparently good.

However if any change is done in Sales for that lead, including changing the status to qualified, the message received in SMC includes the SAP_C4C ID.

Then, creates an anonymous contact with this Lead document assigned and removes the lead from the "original" contact.

Does anyone know what is happening? is this the expected behavior? As per my understanding, this makes no sense. The interaction lead should keep the original contact whatever change is done in C4C.

Hi Pedro,

seems like a very strange behavior. Never seen that before or, at least I can't see that there's anything wrong in the payload.

For us the same scenario works as expected.

I compared your payloads to ours and the only difference is:

In the payload after anyone changed the lead in C4C, the ACTION_CODE is also 04 but the VERSION is always 0001, in your case it is 0002 (like in the confirmation payload that comes without C4C-ID, here in our case it is also 0002). But to be honest I don't know what this "Version" is for and I doubt if that could cause your error...

Would be pretty hard to analyze without checking the whole configuration and I think the best would be to open an incident and let SAP check in the backend what's happening.

Hi Tobias,

thanks for your response. It seems that one of the messages that C4C sent via SOAP had an error because no country/region was informed. Therefore, the SAP_C4C_BUPA couldnt be informed in the original contact.
